If you haven’t done so already, please read my previous posts about Luka Magnotta, to get you up to speed on the situation.
German police have confirmed that 29-year-old Luka Magnotta was arrested in Berlin!
After flying from Montreal to France on the (so police believe) 26th of May, 2012, French media reports claim that belongings of Magnotta’s, including pornographic magazines and air sickness bags, were found in his hotel room in Paris. Since then, police had been tracking his movements through cell phone activity and believed that he traveled from Paris to Berlin by bus.
A bar manager in France told local reporters that he saw Magnotta spend two nights in his bar looking “very nervous” and left one night with a man with an “impressive physique”.
An anonymous relative who had known Magnotta from childhood told a reporter with the Peterborough Examiner that he was a “ticking time bomb”.
“He’s a nut job. I did not trust him,” she told the newspaper. “Eric is the type of individual, I think he’s mentally ill. He has delusions of grandeur. He concocts stories that he tends to believe and they in turn become fact in his mind.”
